Because of an error by the writer, the tagline to the May 15 letter by Stephanie Boyd ("Housing articles important to Williamstown") was inaccurate. It should have read that the letter was not endorsed by the Williamstown Planning Board.

Letter writer Ruth Heuberger of Great Barrington omitted a portion of a sentence in her May 8 letter, "Reading skills hurt by education experiment." The sentence should have read, "The problem lies elsewhere, with an obviously unsuccessful and unacknowledged theory called Whole World Recognition, a function of which requires the child to guess the word on the page that fits the illustration."
