Cummington: Contradance to benefit Pipe Line Awareness Network

A contradance fundraiser for Pipe Line Awareness Network for the Northeast (PLAN) will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, in the Parish House of West Cummington Church, 27 West Main St., West Cummington.

Proceeds will support legal efforts to protect natural resources threatened by Kinder Morgan's Connecticut Expansion Pipeline Project, slated to cut though Otis State Forest in Sandisfield.

Steve Howland and other local musicians will be led by caller Sadie Stull. This family friendly event includes soup and refreshments provided by Alice Cozzolino's Kitchen.

Donations of $25 are suggested but any amount will be accepted.

Katy Eiseman, president of PLAN, will be present with an update on the status of the proceedings.
