Dalton: Pistol permit class slated

Tom Nadolny, an NRA-certified instructor and Mass. State Police-certified BFS instructor and Utah BCI certified firearm instructor, will conduct a Massachusetts Pistol Permit class from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at the Dalton Youth Center, 27 South Carson Ave.

The course incorporates the "NRA First Steps Pistol" program into a comprehensive class designed to benefit everyone from beginner to accomplished shooter.

Upon completion, participants will receive a Mass. State Police training certificate that documents safe gun handling and enables graduates to apply for a Mass. Class A Pistol Permit or Firearms Identification card.

Tuition fee is $70; a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Community Recreation Association.

The fee may be paid using a credit card (by Nov. 11) by phone or in-person at the CRA, 400 Main St., or with cash on the day of the class.

A Utah non-resident permit, allowing participants to carry in 31 more states, is available for $125. The combined fee for both states is $150.

Information or registration: CRA at 413-684-0260.
