Date-night Ideas: Live music, laughs on tap

Dave Brown and Friends provide live music at Mission, with Ben Kohn, Daniel Broad and Jason Schultheis, 8 to 11 p.m.
FRIDAY, DEC. 27
Head to Shire Breu-Hous for their monthly dance party with DJ BFG, 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (21 and older event).
Down County Social Club at Race Brook Lodge hosts Luke DeRoy, 7 to 10 p.m. According to Race Brook, "His soothing voice and soulful guitar lend themselves to one another as the originality of the songwriting presents itself in the unpredictable harmonic rhythm and thoughtful, empathetic lyricism." There's a $10 entry for the artists. Find Race Brook Lodge at 864 South Undermountain Road, Sheffield.
The Egremont Barn welcomes Cura Cura, featuring Patrick Surdam, Sam McGarrity, Maryn Azoff and Elea Wilder, 8 to 11 p.m. The Barn says: "Cura Cura's songs are simultaneously churning, ethereal, tender, sweet and emotionally rich, taking audiences on a journey through darkness and back into light." Tickets are $10. If you can't make the Cura Cura show, don't miss Miss Tess Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets for that show are $15. The Barn at the Egremont Village Inn is located at 17 Main St., South Egremont.

Berkshire Museum's Little Cinema is screening everyone's favorite holiday movie, "Die Hard," every night this weekend at 7 p.m., 39 South St., Pittsfield. Tickets are $7.50.
TUESDAY, DEC. 31
Berkshire Theatre Group says goodbye to 2019 with Max Creek, 8:30 p.m. at Colonial Theatre. Berkshire Theatre Group previews: "Creek's style lacks pretense; there is no genre title that can define them. From the beginning, they mixed rock, country, reggae, soul, jazz and calypso in with their own great songwriting, and it all comes out sounding like Creek." Tickets are $30 and up, available at berkshiretheatregroup.org.
Join Club Helsinki Hudson and celebrates with The Felice Brothers, featuring Ian Felice, James Felice, Will Lawrence and Jesske Hume, 9 p.m. According to Club Helsinki, "Longtime Helsinki favorites, the Felice Brothers are a close-knit band of two brothers and three longtime friends who play a Woodstock-bred fusion of rock, country, folk, soul and gospel, that is often compared to their Catskills-based predecessors, the Band." With special guest, Tommy Stinson. Tickets are $55-$65. To guarantee seating, purchase reserve seating tickets. This is a 21 and older event. Find Club Helsinki at 405 Columbia St., Hudson, N.Y.
