Datenight Ideas: Plenty to do this holiday weekend


Get into the holiday spirit with these great datenight ideas.


The Egremont Barn is promising holiday songs, caroling, comedy and mayhem at The Hold Reliable Holiday Spectravaganza, featuring Brian Kantor, Rob Putnam, Billy Voyers, Tom Teeley, Jackson Teeley, Jenny Rubin and many special guests, 8 to 11 p.m. This is a free event, tickets are available at Find the Barn at 17 Main St., South Egremont.

Get your trivia on at the Lion's Den, 6 to 8 p.m., followed by music by Roger Salloom, 8 to 11 p.m., at the Red Lion Inn, 30 Main St., Stockbridge.

Don't miss The Parlor Cafe's literary open mic at 7 p.m., with doors open for food and drink and to sign up at 6:30 p.m. Bring your own or your favorite poetry or prose to read aloud, or just come to watch. $2 suggested donation. The Parlor Cafe is located at 303 Ashland St., North Adams.

Editor's Pick: Tavern at the A is hosting a "F--k You Winter Party," 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. "Come help us flip the bird to the cold winter months by partying with the hottest reggae band in Berkshire County, Woody and the Rebel Alliance. Jazz musicians John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey will record their syndicated American-songbook radio program, "Radio Deluxe," live at Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, featuring special guests Maucha Adnet and Duduka Da Fonseca, at 8 p.m. According to Mahaiwe, "This popular show mixes and matches songs in medleys and sequences that flow like a continuing dialogue about life, relationships, and popular culture itself."
