Golf and Volleyball Roundup: Taconic, Lee win on home links; Lee, Pittsfield sweep straight sets
PITTSFIELD — It was a season-best performance for the Wahconah golf team on Monday. Unfortunately for the Warriors, host Taconic did just a little bit better.
Connor Champoux was medalist, shooting 40 on the front nine at Berkshire Hills Country Club, as the Braves beat the Warriors 175-182.
"That was Wahconah's best score of the year, It was a great match," said Taconic's first-year coach Bobby Tyrol. "We have to go 2-2 to make Western Mass. It's all business out there now."
The Braves (6-6) had all four of their scoring golfers shoot within five strokes of each other. Wahconah had its four scoring golfers shoot within two strokes of each other, but unlike Champoux, Wahconah's low score was a 45.

LEE — At Greenock Country Club, Thomas Fraser shot an even-par 35 on his home course, as the Wildcats (5-3) knocked off visiting Mount Greylock.
Fraser had what coach Matt Carlino called "another steady round with one birdie and one bogey" in an email. Fraser has been the medalist in all eight of Lee's matches. Fraser shot a birdie on the par-3 fourth hole.

High School Volleyball
Lee 3, Mount Anthony 0
LEE — The host Wildcats (10-1) rolled to a three-set win over visiting Mount Anthony. The scores were 25-7, 25-7, 25-11.
Suriana Lee had two kills, seven aces and 13 assists for Lee, while Bailey Thomas had eight kills and three aces. For Mount Anthony, Danielle Moscarello had three digs, two blocks and a kill.
"We still have some work to do," Lee coach John Warner said.
Pittsfield 3, Wahconah 0
DALTON — It was a three-set sweep for visiting Pittsfield, as the Generals beat Wahconah 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.
Pittsfield was paced by Brennah Brickle's 14 assists and four aces. Emma King had eight kills, while Hannah Wheeler had seven aces and eight digs.
For Wahconah, Kaylee O'Bryan had five blocks, five assists and two kills, T Warren had four kills and eight digs, while Gabby Frydel had three kills and an assist.
