HANCOCK — While there are no contests on Hancock's annual town election ballot, residents will decide a policy question.

This question appears on the ballot: "Shall the town vote to have its elected treasurer be an appointed treasurer of the town?"

Town elections are from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Hancock Elementary School on Route 43.

Candidates running unopposed: School Committee (three years), incumbent Alex Kastrinakis; Cemetery Commission (three years), incumbent Lydia Cassavaugh; Finance Committee, Renee Hanson; Constable (three years), incumbent Mark Gaskill; assessor (three years), incumbent Renee Hanson; Library Trustee (three years), Jane Roberts; Tax Collector (three years), incumbent Julie M. Williams; Treasurer (three years), incumbent Joan Burdick; Town Clerk (three years); incumbent Linda C. Burdick; Moderator (one year), incumbent Brian Fairbank.

Positions with no candidates open to write-ins: School Committee (three years) and Planning Board (three years).
