It's back-to-school time in the Berkshires

Posted

It's that time of year, again. Back-to-school season has launched in the Berkshires. The backpacks are filling, the first-day outfits are picture perfect, and classrooms are ready for action.

As the yellow buses are beginning to make morning runs, and kids begin walking and riding their bikes to school, be sure to be vigilant and plan your commute to account for an increase in road and foot traffic.

If you're a parent or guardian, contact your student's school for all the need-to-know information, including first-day orientations and tours for new students, family nights, parent-teacher conference schedules, college convocation programs and registration deadlines, and, of course lists of school supplies and various forms.

If you're a student, the only rules to remember are: Learn new things, make new friends and have fun!
