Down County Social Club welcomes jam/rock/psychedelic acoustic duo Gardant for some live music, 8 to 11 p.m., 864 South Undermountain Road, Sheffield. Don't forget your $10 donation to the artists.

The Egremont Barn hosts Eric Clapton tribute band Forever Man, 8 to 11 p.m. The Barn previews, "Local John Hensler fronts this amazing Eric Clapton Tribute Band, with covers spanning Clapton's entire career and all the groups he has been a part of as well as his solo career." Editor's Pick: Who wants to buy a costume they can only wear once? Get your best lookout early for the MAD Crew 9th Annual Halloween Costume Bash at Tavern at the A, featuring Wubson, Tru Sounds, GBJ and Remedy, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $20 at the door, $25 without a costume.

Mission Restaurant welcomes Spanish guitarist Ben Schmolze, 7 to 9 p.m., 438 North St., Pittsfield.

Hotel on North welcomes Sky Full of Dippers back to their Live on North Music Series, 8 to 11 p.m., 297 North St., Pittsfield.

SATURDAY, OCT. 19 

Don't miss Orion Sun at Mass MoCA, 8 p.m. According to Mass MoCA, "Orion Sun is the one-woman project of Philly-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Tiffany Majette, an emerging creative force of nature who is destined for greatness." Tickets are $18 in advance, $28 on the day and $44 preferred tickets get seated by the stage and include free museum admission the day of or after the show. If you're looking for dinner first, head to MoCA early and check out Lickety Split Cafe, Gramercy Bistro, Bright Ideas Brewing or A-oK Berkshire Barbeque, all on campus.

Pittsfield CityJAZZ Festival continues with a performance by Veronica Swift with Stephanie Nakasian at Colonial Theatre, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25-$39. On their website, Berkshire Theatre Group says "Known as one of the world's leading jazz singers, Stephanie Nakasian will take you on a fresh and authentic swing voyage that transcends the Great Ladies of Song in both tribute and originality." The Berkshires Jazz Youth Ensemble opens the show, and head over early for preshow entertainment by Ben Kohn at the Garage at 6 p.m., 111 South St., Pittsfield.

Visit Dream Away Lodge for Dr. Gasp's Halloween Spectacular, 8 to 11 p.m., 1342 County Road, Becket.

Or if you're still looking for live music, join As We Know It for an evening of funk, jazz and pop covers at Shire Breu-Hous, 8:30 to 11:30 p.m., 63 Flansburg Ave., Dalton.

If you haven't had your fill of jazz yet, the Lion's Den welcomes Hudson River Jazz to their ongoing jazz series, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Red Lion Inn, 30 Main St., Stockbridge.
