Jewish Women's Foundation awards $40k in grant funding

PITTSFIELD — The Jewish Women's Foundation of the Berkshires recently awarded grants totaling $40,000 to 16 local organizations. The investments fall in two priority areas identified by the foundation: programs with a mission to increase the availability of food and access to housing for Berkshire residents; and programs that provide support services for children and families in need. The grants range from $800 to $3,500. They all run for one year. Applications from 29 organizations were considered.
