LENOX — Almgren Law will host a "Ready, Set, Know Your Options" outdoor workshop Sept. 26 to help people understand their estate planning and elder care options.

The free event starts at 10 a.m. under a big tent outside Almgren Law, 1 West St. Participants must RSVP by emailing or calling 413-637-5075. Family groups are limited to three members. Attendees will be required to wear masks until seated on socially distanced chairs and will be asked a few COVID-19 screening questions during registration and upon arrival. Masks and hand-sanitizer will be available, and individually packaged refreshments will be provided.

Topics will include Using Trusts to Avoid Probate and Save Taxes, Protect Your Home and Assets, Accessing Home Care and VA Benefits, Understanding Nursing Home Rules, Navigating the Health Care System and more.

Speakers from the firm will include estate attorney Kristina Kisiel, nurse care coordinator Debra Allen, veterans benefits specialist Mike King and Paula Almgren, founder of Berkshire County's only law firm specializing in comprehensive elder law, estate and tax planning and life care planning
