The Lee Library will welcome Micheline Laguilhomie for a local author talk and reading from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, in its J. Peter Scolforo Gallery, 100 Main St.

Laguilhomie will discuss and read from her semi-biographical book, "Gabriel, or the Long Love Affair of the Virgin Mary: A Modern Tale of Alchemy."

A question and answer session and book signing will follow this free adult summer reading event.

Born and raised in Paris, Laguilhomie now makes her home in Stockbridge.
