Bird-a-thon, Mass Audubon's annual fundraiser, will take place Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, with new rules due to COVID-19.

Bird-at-home-a-thon will run from 6 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday. Birders will spend time observing and identifying species from their birding positions — a window, backyard, or a green space within short walking or biking distance from their homes.

Berkshire Wildlife Sanctuaries welcomes birders of all experience levels to join its birding team. Funds raised will support the BWS's science education program.

Participants can also earn points for the team by completing other nature-based activities or as "Bird-a-thon Boosters."
