Lenox: Church announces annual silver tea
The Silver Tea's history goes back to World War II when the ladies of the church gathered and had tea and made "ditty bags" filled with personal items for soldiers.
The proceeds from this year's Silver Tea will support the education of a student at the Gordon Clem Academy in Kenya.
Items for sale include rosemary trees, poinsettias, crafts from Africa, and baked goods. A traditional English pub-style lunch, prepared by Chef James Burden, will be served, beginning at noon.
