Lenox: Jewish learning inspired by arts
Taking inspiration from summer arts season, faculty from the Jewish Theological Seminary will offer Jewish takes on the music of Verdi, the legacy of Wagner and Shakespeare's comedies during three programs at Shakespeare & Company, Bernstein Theatre, 70 Kemble St.
Composer and cantor Gerald Cohen will present "Verdi in Terezin: A Composer's Inspiration" from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 12. The program includes a musical performance by the Pittsfield High School String Quartet. Cost is $15.
