Lenox: Mass Audubon offers gardening program

"Gardening for Bees & Butterflies," a Mass Audubon program, will be presented from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 1, at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, 472 West Mountain Road.

Participants will explore the native plants and pollinators garden at Pleasant Valley, where a mix of flowers, ferns and shrubs provide essential food and shelter for native insects and birds.

Experts will share their experience with native plants that grow well for home gardens and landscaping.

Cost is $12, $8 for members.
