Letter: Abortion bills sink us into abyss of evil
To the editor:
In his State of the Union speech, President Trump referred to passage of a New York State bill "that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother's womb moments from birth." This is now a reality.
About a week ago, Gov. Cuomo of New York signed a bill loosening restrictions on late-term abortions. Legislators were celebrating and high-fiving. How can you celebrate the killing of a child?
A couple of days ago, the governor of Virginia threw his support behind a bill that would remove many restrictions on late-term abortions. Gov. Northam, asked what would happen if a baby survived a failed attempt at abortion, replied that "the infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother."
We have sunk deeper into the abyss of evil. How dare these people play God and decide on who lives and who dies? This is very reminiscent of the path the Nazis took, and I daresay that we are no better.
If you want to stare evil in the face, you have to look no further than the radical socialists who are choking the life out of America. What we need to do is to recognize and grasp that life begins at conception and ends with our natural passing. Americans need to loudly proclaim that we are pro-life and continue to fight the evil that is facing us.
