Letter: An idea for the Berkshire Mall

To the editor:

I'm sure I'm not the first one to suggest this, but how about using the infrastructure of the Berkshire Mall as affordable/senior housing? Plumbing/sewer and electric are already in place, as well as HVAC.

Seniors could continue to stroll, and residents could use Target as their grocery and hardware supply. And the movies could do more matinees. Much of the vast parking lot could be turned into green space, reducing the heat coming off the existing blacktop.

Thom Lipiczky,

West Stockbridge
