To the editor:

With just a few weeks into COVID-19 oped columnist Mitchell Chapman has figured out the entire ending of the world. ("Coronavirus will shape politics for decades," Eagle oped, March 30. What insight! To my way of thinking, he comes up a tad short on imagination and faith in our more creative folks.

When I was a child. There was polio every summer. Measles, Mumps, Rubella. Heck, there was strep.and there was Dr. Salk and today there are tens of thousands of more like him with greater tools.

So I have every reason to choose hope over Chapman's narrow-minded pessimism. Also, I have a lifetime of experience. He has none.

Mitchell. the sky is not falling, you can come out from under the covers.

Pesach Walter,
