To the editor:

A recipient of more than my share of blessings, I consider one of them being a subscriber to The Berkshire Eagle.

On Friday, April 24, Gillian Jones' photograph headlined "Going with the Flow" was a treat for the eyes. Indeed, it was "Homeresque."

While all op-eds held interest, two were of such value that I felt compelled to write. Thanks to Don Morrison ("Welcome to the Republic of Grief") and Carole Owens ("How will this story of pandemic be told?"), layers of grief and anxiety found acute definition of these times in which we now live. While it is difficult to find hope, it somehow helps to have fleshed-out perspectives to weigh. By including such worthy pieces as the above mentioned, The Berkshire Eagle contributes mightily to stimulate thought during this difficult period.

Thank you.

Carol Perkins,

North Adams
