Letter: Keep barbershop painting and get a barber chair

To the editor:

I've read with interest individual ideas to help keep Norman Rockwell's paintings in Berkshire County. Here is one more.

I have a 100-year-old wooden barber chair that is the same model as the one in the "Shuffleton's Barbershop' painting. I am willing to lend it to the Berkshire Museum for as long as it keeps this painting on display. They could put in an interactive educational exhibit. It might even bring more people to the museum.

Alan Forster,

Great Barrington
