Letter: Lampiasi grasps issues facing Ward 6.

To the editor:

I watched the debate for Ward 6 with great interest on PCTV. Given all the challenges in the West Side neighborhood, it is important for residents to identify a candidate who is adept at advocating for residents in this historically neglected part of the city. Decades of being under resourced left behind crumbling infrastructure and residents struggling with crime. It's wrong.

From what I can tell, Dina Guiel Lampiasi has what it takes to be a vocal advocate for me and my neighbors. Standing toe to toe against candidates who clearly do not understand everyday people or how public policy is created made her shine. She clearly has the public policy background and the connections to shine a light where it has been so desperately needed. And she wins my support on Sept. 17.

Ranisha Grice,
