Letter: Make distinctions among men's failures

To the editor:

While I agree with Marion Rosenfeld that it is incumbent on all decent, civilized men to treat the "weaker sex" with respect, I feel that the punishment meted out on the men who have violated this standard should reflect the seriousness of the violations. ("Holding Keillor, men, accountable," letter, Oct. 12.)

Treating Garrison Keillor or Sen. Al Franken the same as Harvey Weinstein is more likely to cause a backlash than to forward a very serious cause.
