Letter: Making BART fundraiser a success

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

On Saturday, May 3, Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School (BART) hosted our seventh annual "Get BART Smart" fundraiser and raised $16,402 (net) for the school’s college preparatory programs! Nearly 100 people attended and re-lived their high school years through our team trivia game.

The night couldn’t have happened without the support of more than one hundred local organizations and businesses from all over Berkshire County, beginning with our high honor roll and honor roll sponsors, and continuing with the 80+ additional local businesses who donated goods and services to the event for auction items and prizes or sponsored us.

Finally, many thanks to the trustees, faculty, staff, parent volunteers and others who contributed their time, money, and effort to make this event happen. Their dedication to the BART community is truly humbling.

The writer is a member of the BART Board of Trustees.
