Letter: MNA should allow vote on generous BMC offer

To the editor:

As a registered nurse employed by Berkshire Medical Center, I am among a growing number of individuals who are opposed to the strike call by the MNA. I believe the last contract offered by the hospital was generous and the MNA should have allowed its membership to vote on that contract offer.

Should any efforts to avoid this strike fail, I invite any and all persons who are also opposed to the strike to join me at Park Square on Monday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon while the registered nurses that choose to picket are outside the hospital - your hospital.

Mary Richardson,
