Letter: Museum's 'victory' may be short-lived
To the editor:
It is a sad day for Pittsfield, artists everywhere, and Norman Rockwell's family. I'm sure the Berkshire Museum is rejoicing in its win enabling it to sell off its art treasures in order to bail it out of financial difficulties but I find it shocking that the attorney general, who reversed her earlier position, and the Supreme Judicial Court sided with it.
It will be really interesting to see what the future holds as I fear that the museum is going to find that it has lost a great many of its earlier supporters.
