Letter: No excuse for hydrant problem
To the editor:
I was wondering why every day for the last two weeks that there was a very small pool of water in the middle of the intersection on Tyler Street near the Plunkett Street construction even on sunny days — which is very seldom around here lately.
It's very unfortunate that firefighters had to endure the stress of scrambling around to find a working hydrant to quickly put out The Tyler Street fire in a timely manner to try to save this building (Eagle, May 24.) Kudos to the civilians who helped drag the hoses down the road.
