Man found dead at Burbank Park in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD — Police are investigating the death of a 33-year-old man whose body was found at Burbank Park on Tuesday evening.

"There are no signs of foul play and no risk to public safety," said Dennis Yusko, a spokesman for the Berkshire District Attorney's Office, on Wednesday evening.

The man was found about 7:30 p.m. near Onota Lake in an area of the park used for fishing, Yusko said.

"We can't release the identity of the person at this time because the next of kin has not been contacted," he said.

Members of the Pittsfield police and fire departments responded to the scene. No further information was available.
