Man sought by Adams police arrested near mall

PITTSFIELD — A man wanted by the Adams Police Department was arrested Tuesday afternoon, after a high-speed chase that ended near the Berkshire Mall.

Courtney Cross, 34, was taken into custody around 3:40 p.m., according to the Pittsfield Police Department.

Pittsfield Police sent out a news release about 2:30 p.m., asking for the public's help in locating Cross. The release said he last had been spotted heading northbound on North Street and was in possession of firearms. The release advised members of the public to call 911 instead of trying to approach him. 

About 3:40 p.m., Cross was taken into custody after a high-speed chase that ended near the former Arizona Pizza Co. restaurant at 660 Cheshire Road (Route 8).
