Monterey: Ribbon-cutting at new library

The grand opening of the new Monterey Library, 452 Main Road, will be celebrated from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be followed by a light lunch buffet and tours of the new and renovated library spaces as well as the new reading deck.

The event marks the official opening of the community art show in the new gallery, set within the multi-purpose room, which once was the entire original library. The show is aptly titled "Welcome Back" and features Monterey artists.
