Music and laughs galore for a winter datenight



Multi-lingual jazz singer Vita Kay celebrates the release of her first album at Race Brook Lodge's Down County Social Club, 7 to 11 p.m., 864 South Undermountain Road, Sheffield. Vita will be accompanied by Rafael Russi-Catalan on guitar. The doors open at 7 p.m., music starts at 8. Admission is a $10 donation for the artists.


Comedy Garage is back at the Colonial Theatre, 7:30 p.m., featuring Kim DeShields opening for Brittany Carney. According to Berkshire Theatre Group, Brittany Carney began stand-up comedy in Washington D.C. where she is a regular at the DC Improv Comedy Club, Underground Comedy at The Big Hunt and Drafthouse Comedy Theater. Cover is $5.


Club Helsinki hosts Barnes, Gordy, Walsh, "a veritable roots-music supergroup featuring banjoist Danny Barnes, guitarist Grant Gordy, and mandolinist Joe K. Walsh," at 9 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15-$18, available at Find Club Helsinki at 405 Columbia St, Hudson, N.Y.

Hit the mic at karaoke night at Tavern at the A, 8 to midnight, 303 Crane Ave., Pittsfield.


Whiskey City is celebrating their 9-year anniversary with a party at Tavern at the A., 9 p.m. to midnight. There is a $5 cover.

Don't miss comedy night at the Berkshire Plaza, 1 West St., featuring Mike Britt, Brendan Eyre, and Caitlin Peluffo. According to ZipStohr Comedy, Mike Britt "has been all over television, starring in his own half-hour comedy special on Comedy Central, "Best Week Ever" on VH-1, P-Diddy's "Bad Boys of Comedy," "Comics Unleashed w/ Byron Allen," "Late Night w/ David Letterman" and "Showtime at the Apollo;" Brendan Eyre is one of New York's top up and coming comedians; and Caitlin Peluffo has opened for comedians like Gilbert Gottfried, Gary Gulman, Colin Quinn, and the late Kevin Meaney. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25. This is an 18 and older show.

Although many Manhattan variants will be discussed, Number 10 will focus on the Five Boroughs variants, such as the Brooklyn cocktail, and variants on that cocktail such as Greenpoint, Red Hook and Bensonhurst.
