Roots music legends Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Dave Alvin perform tonight at Club Helsinki. Tickets are $35-$25, available at This is a 21 and older show, so leave the kids at home. 405 Columbia St., Hudson, N.Y.

Walter Burmer and Jordan Franklin join forces tonight to perform at Firefly Gastropub and Catering Co., 71 Church St, Lenox. Hear a collaboration of original music by these two local performers, 8 to 11 p.m.

Williams College presents a concert by the Amernet String Quartet, 8 p.m., Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall, 54 Chapin Hall Drive, Williamstown. Comprised of Jason Calloway, Misha Vitenson, Michael Klotz and Franz Felkl, the Quartet will perform a program of works by Schubert, Schulhoff, Orlando Garcia and faculty composer Ileana Perez Velazquez. This is a free event.

It's dinner and a movie night at SereniTea Cafe in North Adams. This month's movie screening will be "Dirty Dancing." Tickets are $15, $25 for a couple. Doors open at 7:30 to take orders, dinner served at 8 p.m. SereniTea Cafe is located at 303 Ashland St.


Friday night is all about live music in the Berkshires.

It's time for the annual Eagles Band concert, featuring the Eagles Trombone Ensemble, the Eagles Big Band and the Eagles Concert Band, 7 p.m., the Colonial Theatre, 111 South St., Pittsfield. This is a free performance, so call to get your tickets early, 413-997-4444.

Thompson Square Duo, featuring Keifer and Shawna Thompson, perform Friday at Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center. Lovers of country are sure to enjoy this performance by the couple who brought us hits "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" and "If I Didn't Have You." Hotel on North's Live on North concert series continues with a show by Tom Savoy Trio, 8 p.m., 297 North St., Pittsfield. No cover!

If you're in Lenox Friday night, head to The Gateways Inn for some live jazz by Lucky 5. According to their website, "the Lucky 5 brings verve, high energy, and an unpredictable impulse to the tradition of jazz from the 20s, 30s and 40s." Saturday night is Harvest Jam featuring live music by Steal Your Peach Band and Rebel Alliance, 8 p.m., at Bounti-Fare Restaurant, 200 Howland Ave., Adams. Tickets are $20-$15, available at This is an 18 and older show.

Visit The Barn at the Egremont Village Inn at 8 p.m. for traditional Irish music by Daymark, featuring Will Woodson on the flute and pipes, Dan Foster on the fiddle and Eric McDonald on guitar and vocals. Tickets are $20. The Barn is located at 17 Main St., South Egremont.

Or if Irish music is your thing and you can't make it to The Barn Saturday, visit Hubbard Hall. The McKrells are performing their blend of Celtic bluegrass at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25. Hubbard Hall is located at 25 East Main Street in Cambridge, N.Y.

If you don't want to see a show Saturday, you can head to SereniTea Cafe in North Adams and be the show! It's '80s karaoke night, so crimp your hair and haul out your members only jacket and prepare to belt out your favorites by Prince, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper and more. Karaoke starts at 8 p.m., 303 Ashland St., North Adams.


Argyle Brewing Company and Forged Restaurant are teaming up to offer a Harvest Beer Dinner event, beginning at 5 p.m. Enjoy an hour of beer, followed by a four course meal pair with more beer! Tickets available at The Cambridge Tasting Room is located at 6 Broad St., Cambridge, N.Y.
