NEW ASHFORD — Every article passed at New Ashford's annual town meeting Tuesday evening.

The town's budget for Fiscal 2021 will now be $749,618, with $467,248 of that dedicated to schools.

New Ashford will now collect a 0.75 percent meals taxes and a 3 percent tax on marijuana purchased in town. Those municipal taxes will be on top of state taxes.

In addition, the town will have two new funds: one to repair its historic Old School House, and a "broadband stabilization fund," with money directed from its municipal internet revenues.

The initiative to change the town clerk position from an elected official to an appointed one moved forward as well. A vote in the 2021 town elections will decide whether that article becomes a statute.
