No contests on Monterey town election ballot

MONTEREY — Fifteen seats are up for grabs in town elections on Tuesday, and all of them are uncontested.

Josh Weingold is running for a three-year term on the Select Board, while Michele Miller hopes to notch a three-year term on the Finance Committee.

Gary Shaw is up for reelection in his three-year seat on the Board of Assessors. Scott Steibel is running for a two-year term on the same board.

The Planning Board has two spots open. Laura Mensi is running for the five-year seat while William Johnson is running for the three-year seat.

Susan Cooper is running again for a five-year spot on the board of appeals, while Michael Banner is running for a one-year seat on the same board.

Wendy Benjamin, John Makuc and David Brown are all running for reelection to three-year terms on the Parks Commission, Board of Health and Cemetery Commission, respectively.

John Higgins and Shannon Amidon Castile are both running for reelection to three-year terms as library trustees.

Mark Makuc and Kevin Fitzpatrick are both running for reelection to the one-year positions of moderator and tree warden, respectively.

The election will be held at the Monterey Pavilion, behind the firehouse, from 2 to 7 p.m.
