The River Street Art Project will host an Instagram and Facebook Live virtual gallery opening and artist talk related to its new exhibit, "Food Options North of the Hoosic River: Then and Now," at 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 2.

The exhibit explores 61 current and past locations for buying food, focusing on the area north of the Hoosic River in North Adams.

The artist, Kristin Graves, will discuss the research, creation, and motivations related to the exhibit, which includes a large map of the locations, several panels describing aspects of the research, and a book with photos and historical information about the various locations.

Also, after dark, passers-by can view a projection of related photos on the gallery window.

The River Street Art Project is located with Christopher's Cuts barber shop at 102 River St.
