People: Tiger Woods sued for drunken driver's death
Tiger Woods sued for drunken driver's death
The parents of a drunken driver who died in a car crash last year are suing Tiger Woods. They blame the golfer and his girlfriend for allowing their son to drive home from their Florida restaurant while intoxicated.
The wrongful death lawsuit filed Monday says Nicholas F. Immesberger was served excessive amounts of alcohol before the Dec. 10 car crash.
Immesberger worked at The Woods restaurant in Jupiter that Woods owns. His girlfriend, Erica Herman, is general manager.
The lawsuit says Herman recruited Immesberger as a bartender despite knowing that he was an alcoholic. It alleges that the restaurant's employees, managers and owners allowed the 24-year-old man to drive after being over-served alcohol.
"It's very sad," Woods said at the PGA Championship in New York on Tuesday. He said it was a "terrible night, a terrible ending."
ABC: Constance Wu's job safe after rant
ABC's entertainment president says "Fresh Off the Boat" star Constance Wu's job is safe despite her online rant.
The "Crazy Rich Asians" star posted an expletive-filled lament last week when the comedy's renewal was announced.
No thought was given to recasting Wu's role as the sitcom's mom, network executive Karey Burke told a teleconference Tuesday.
Burke said she's choosing to believe Wu's most recent comment, that she's happy to return to "Fresh Off the Boat."
Wu has apologized for what she called "insensitive" comments and said she loves the sitcom. She said she was temporarily frustrated that it would keep her from working on a passion project.
Burke said she knew Wu had another opportunity if the show ended, but ABC always intended to renew it for a sixth season.
Odom regrets cheating on Kloe Kardashian
Former NBA star Lamar Odom regrets cheating on his ex-wife, Khlo Kardashian, and lying to her about his addiction to cocaine during their four-year marriage.
The 39-year-old tells People magazine he wishes he "could have been more of a man" and it still bothers him now, three years after they divorced. He also says he misses the Kardashian family.
In excerpts from Odom's upcoming book, "Darkness to Light," Odom wrote he was the happiest he's ever been after they married in 2009, one month after they met. But he eventually began having affairs and he wrote he couldn't handle the "lethal cocktail of the spotlight, addiction, a diminishing career and infidelity."
He says Kardashian was by his side after his near-fatal overdose in 2015 and today he's drug-free.
