Pittsfield City Council cancels Tuesday meeting

PITTSFIELD — A City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday night has been canceled because of weather.

Council President Peter Marchetti said he decided to cancel in light of the timing of Tuesday's snowstorm, and because of the wintry mix it's slated to bring.

"We're looking at the fact it's supposed to turn to ice at 6 p.m.," he told The Eagle.

The meeting was scheduled to happen at 7 p.m.

Marchetti said the night's agenda — which was light anyway — will roll into the next meeting. That is scheduled to happen 7 p.m. Feb. 26 in Council Chambers.
