A free screening of the local documentary, "Brought to Light: Unearthing the History of an African-American Cemetery in Kinderhook, N.Y." will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Berkshire Athenaeum.

The documentary tells the story of how the cleanup efforts by a few villagers of some stone markers in an overgrown field led to the discovery of a forgotten "slave cemetery" from the 1800s. A Q&A with filmmaker Barbara Reina will follow.

This program is approved for forum credit to Berkshire Community College students. DVDs and Blu-rays will be available for purchase.
