Pittsfield: Film festival addresses trauma, resiliency

A one-day film festival, "Break the Chains," will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Berkshire Museum's Little Cinema, 39 South St.

The event intends to facilitate constructive conversations between students from Williams College and Pittsfield Public Schools through films about trauma, resiliency and blackness.

Each film, "Ayiti Mon Amour" by Guetty Felin and "Whose Streets?" by Sabaah Folayan, will be followed by brief 30 minute discussions. In between both showings will be a dinner and conversation with food provided.

Entrance is free.
