Pittsfield: Historian portrays Eleanor Roosevelt
Carol Cohen, author, playwright and published historian, will present her "Afternoon with Eleanor Roosevelt" program at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave.
The first half of the program is set in the years after the death of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Attendees will meet Roosevelt at her home Val Kill, learn about her role as a human rights activist, and inspect many primary sources that were part of Roosevelt's personal and professional life.
The second half of the program features a power point presentation about her life and work.
