Pittsfield: Local dentist offers cash for candy
Trick-or-treaters can earn cash and support a soldier by bringing their excessive candy to Dr. Jon Gotterer's dental office at 523 South St. from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2.
Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound up to a five pound maximum for all unopened, uneaten candy. Gotterer's office will have goodies for children and toothbrushes.
A drop box is also available now through Thursday, Nov. 5, at Greylock Federal Credit Union's main office at 150 West St.
The candy will be shipped to troops overseas via Operation Gratitude along with healthy snacks, toothbrushes, etc.
