Pittsfield man faces drug charges after raid at hotel

WILLIAMSTOWN — A Pittsfield man was arrested last week on drug charges at the Howard Johnson hotel on Main Street.

Ismael Osorio, 20, was taken into custody on Feb. 12 by the Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force during a 3 p.m. raid at the hotel, according to Andy McKeever, spokesman for Berkshire District Attorney Andrea Harrington.

Police seized 168 grams of cocaine, 300 bags of heroin and $13,120 in cash.

McKeever said Osorio was arraigned Thursday on possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Judge Jennifer Tyne ordered him held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
