Pittsfield: PCTV to broadcast July 4th parade

The staff and volunteers of Pittsfield Community Television will mark the 30th anniversary of the station's first production as an incorporated non-profit organization with the production of the 2018 Pittsfield Fourth of July Parade.

As part of the commemoration, PCTV's Pre-Parade Show at 9:30 a.m. will feature an interview with Dan Dillon, a founding member of PCTV's board of directors and one of the two hosts from the 1988 parade coverage, as well as entertainment and welcomes from city officials.

Parade coverage begins at 10 a.m. Both programs will be hosted by the Pittsfield Parade Committee's Patrick Kelly and PCTV's Jody Spielmann.

In addition to being seen on PCTV's Access Pittsfield, local cable channel 1301, Community Television for the Southern Berkshires and Northern Berkshire Community Television will be cablecasting Pittsfield's parade countywide simultaneously.

The live web stream will also be available at www.PittsfieldTV.org and www.PittsfieldParade.com, both of which will also feature the parade via on-demand video.

The parade will re-air in Pittsfield at 7 p.m. Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, and 8 p.m. Friday, with future airings both locally and countywide.
