PITTSFIELD — Two pedestrians were hit by cars over the weekend in Pittsfield, according to police.

Both were city residents and sustained minor injuries in separate crashes Saturday night, according to a news release from Pittsfield Police Department.

The first crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. near 510 North St. Police say Heather Ward, 43, of Pittsfield, was crossing the street when she was hit by a 2002 Ford truck driven by Ryan Aulisio, 30, of Pittsfield, who turned left onto North Street from Linden Street.

The second crash happened shortly after 11 p.m., police said, at the intersection of First and Lincoln streets, where 21-year-old Jermain Sistrunk Jr. was crossing the street. Clifford Pettus, 64, of Pittsfield, was driving a 2006 Chevy Tahoe down First Street when he collided with Sistrunk, according to police.

Ward and Sistrunk were transported to Berkshire Medical Center with minor injuries, police said. Both crashes remain under investigation, police said.
