Pittsfield Police release images of suspect in Cumberland Farms armed robbery

PITTSFIELD — Pittsfield Police have released several images of the man they say robbed the Cumberland Farms store on First Street early Sunday. Shortly before 1:30 a.m., a man walked into the store and brandished what is believed to be a knife or screwdriver, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release from the police department. No injuries were reported.

The man left the store and ran southbound on First Street toward The Common. Police said the images of the suspect were captured by the store's video surveillance system.

The suspect, believed to be a white or Hispanic man with some facial hair, was wearing a tan or beige coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white sneakers, police said. He is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build, and he appeared to be in his 30s.
