Pittsfield police responded to armed robbery attempt at Palmers

PITTSFIELD — No one was injured during an armed robbery attempt at Palmers on Wednesday morning, according to the Pittsfield Police Department.

Shortly before 7 a.m., a masked female displayed a handgun and demanded money at the Elm Street store, Pittsfield Police Lt. Gary Traversa said.

No one was injured in the incident, which remains under investigation.

"No money was turned over, and the suspect fled on foot," he said.
