Pittsfield: R.O.P.E. fundraiser for South Africa trip

The Rites of Passage and Empowerment Program will hold a fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Berkshire Hills Country Club, 500 Benedict Road, to support the young women's spring service-learning trip to South Africa.

R.O.P.E. is a Pittsfield-based mentoring organization that works with young women throughout the Berkshires.

The keynote speaker is Colleen Holmes, president and CEO of Berkshire Children & Families. Entertainment will include selections from Berkshire Jewish Musicians Collective and a dance performance by Marla Robertson.

Tickets are $25 in advance; $27 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Ave., or by calling Brett Westbrook at 413-822-6647 or Reina Antunez at 413-281-1211.
