Pittsfield: Speaker to address gun violence crisis

Jonathan Perloe will present "The Public Health Crisis of Gun Violence in America and How You Can Help Save Lives" at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road.

Perloe is director of programs and communications for CT Against Gun Violence, the organization that for more than 25 years has led the effort to pass common-sense gun safety laws in Connecticut.

This free program is part of the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires' Connecting With Community series.

The program precedes a kosher lunch at noon. Lunch costs $7, $2 for adults over 60. Lunch reservations are required by 9 a.m. Monday at 413-442-2200.
