The annual Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols at Williams College will be held at 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, in Thompson Memorial Chapel in Williamstown. A prelude with harpist Anna DeLoi and organist Edwin Lawrence begins at 3:40. The identical services feature choral music by the Williams Concert and Chamber Choirs under the direction of Brad Wells; congregational singing of carols; the traditional reading of the biblical Christmas story, with a meditation by the Rev. Rick Spalding, chaplain to the college, and a liturgy by the Rev. Gary Caster, Catholic chaplain; and a postlude played by the Williams College Handbell Choir.
