Rodriguez takes constable post in Monterey

MONTEREY — Julio Rodriguez has unseated Kevin Fitzpatrick as town constable.In the only contested race in this year's town election, Rodriguez outpolled the incumbent by a margin of 88-64 to win the three-year seat.

Out of the town's 680 registered voters, 165 came to the polls.

The rest of the posts on the ballot were uncontested.
